Heat Energy Distribution Department
Heat Energy Distribution Department (ODEC), responsible for innovative forms of trading in thermal energy, has been part of ZEC Service since 2006.
In 2010 ODEC was licensed to trade in thermal energy and consequently introduced a ZEC Service heat tariff approved by the Energy Regulatory Office.
We offer a comprehensive service of thermal energy sale with costs settled directly with Facility Users on the basis of VAT invoices.
In the model, one Contract for Sale of Heat is concluded with a Developer or Manager of a facility and then supplemented by parallel Contracts for Settling Heat Costs concluded with Facility Users. Due to this approach the Developer or Manager is relieved of the duty to settle or collect heat payments.
Heat volumes currently traded by ODEC amount to approx. 10MW per 1600 Facility Users supplied by 40 heat transfer centres, i.e. Owners or Lessees of residential and service facilities equipped with measurement and settlement units.
This facilitates determination of the amount of heat consumed by individual tenants on the basis of readings from measurement and settlement units. What is most important, the system enables suspension of the supply of heat to any tenant (for example due to arrears of payments).
